My name is Micah - this is my story
For over 20 years, I’ve worked in education—across K–12, higher ed, public, private, and online settings. I’ve trained faculty, coached school leaders, built learning experiences, and consulted with everyone from teachers to university presidents. I’ve seen firsthand the pressure, the passion, and the burnout that come with trying to do meaningful work in a system that often asks for too much.
But I’m not just a consultant or coach—I’ve lived this on a personal level.Â
While working multiple jobs to support my family, I was also navigating painful personal relationships marked by emotional strain and imbalance. I tried to hold it all together—for my kids, my clients, and my faith community. But over time, I lost touch with my own well-being, confidence, and sense of self. Then came the health crisis: I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and a rare blood clotting disorder call APS (antiphospholipid syndrome)—two conditions made worse by chronic stress.Â
That critical season of my life forced me to re-examine everything.
I started doing the inner work—learning how to protect my peace, honor my capacity, and take full responsibility for what I could control: myself. I let go of the need to manage others’ emotions; I embraced self-compassion and discovered how to rebuild from the inside out.
Now, I help others do the same.
Since getting my coaching certificate in 2022, I’ve worked with a variety of clients and helped train a number of other coaches. Those experiences helped me decide to narrow my focus to coaching mission-driven educators, professionals, and leaders who feel like they’re running on empty—people who want to keep showing up for the important people in their lives without losing themselves in the process
Using a curriculum adapted from The Coach Firm coaching school, I created the  Mental Fitness Framework. This powerful program helps me teach practical tools for emotional resilience, self-leadership, and sustainable purpose—especially for those navigating burnout, invisible health struggles, or the quiet unraveling that happens when life just won’t slow down.
